I want a pre-designed logo, but I want to see what it looks like with my name and in my colors before I place my order. Can that be done?

Unfortunately not, we can't help you with that. You will need to place your order first. 


Our unconditional, 100% money-back guarantee boils down to the same thing. If you order a pre-designed logo and it just doesn't look as good as you hoped it would when we add your name and colors, we will refund ALL of your money. No service fees. No exceptions. No fine print. No hoops to jump through.

You need to keep in mind that with pre-designed logos we don't just send you the final image files right away (unless you ask us to). We will send you previews of how it looks with your name and in your colors and previews where we try to improve the design. We will work with you to get the look right and only finalize it when you are 101% happy with the look.


Can I buy a pre-designed logo and get exclusive rights to it?

That is your only option! We do not resell any of our logos. Each and every logo on Logotypon.com (including our pre-designed logos) comes with exclusive rights. We sell each one only once. When you place your order, the logo becomes automatically marked as as sold on the web site. Once you give the thumbs up, your designer will prepare and send you the final logo files in the correct formats for printing, web use etc. Logos that show as "Sold" on the site are eventually replaced, as we add new ones.

If you prefer that we remove it immediately as apposed to showing it as "Sold", please mention that in your order form. We have several designers who purchase logos from us for resale or who make purchases on behalf of their clients, so our system is set up to handle expidited logo removals.


Can I trademark my pre-designed logo?

Yes! Trade marking your logo design is a wise business investment - especially if you want to use the logo commercially.


What about logo copyright? Do I own the copyright to my logo?

As per our Terms & Conditions, the copyright of the logo is automatically transferred to you when you make a purchase. We will also send you a "Transfer of Copyright" certificate on request.

This applies to all our logos, including our pre-design logos. If you are in a different country, copyright probably still applies. The Berne Convention is an international agreement about copyright. Almost all countries in the civilized world are Berne Convention signatories, so copyright in the US = copyright in the UK = copyright in Spain = copyright in South Africa = copyright in Australia = copyright in Belgium = copyright in India etc. etc. Our transfer of copyright will be valid in just about any country.


What happens after I purchase an pre-design logo?

Once you've purchased a pre-designed logo, that logo is immediately disabled on our catalogue of logos and it's not available for sale. We'll email you the logo template's files in all listed formats as a zip attachment, and forward all copyrights.


What if I order a custom logo design from your firm and I don't like your work?

If that happens, you have 2 choices: You can either tell us what you don't like about it and receive a brand new batch of logo design concept drawings five days later or you can ask for your money back.

1. Getting more logo designs There's no limit to the number of times you can return the logo design to us for alterations. In fact, we encourage you to send it back - even if you just want the red dot two shades darker. We want you to be 100% happy with your new logo.
2. Getting your money back We offer an unconditional money-back guarantee. There are no service fees, no fine print and no hoops to jump through. If you are not 100% happy with the work, you get a 100% refund. Every cent. Our money-back guarantee applies to every purchase, unless specifically stated otherwise and up to the point that you confirm that you approve the final design.

How long before I receive my logo?

For pre-designed logos it's one business day. If we receive an order for a custom logo, we have five business days to deliver the first batch of concept logos. Each time you request more designs or request changes to one of the logos, depending on the changes it takes one business day to make the changes and get it back to you. With pre-designed logos we usually make small changes within hours.

On average it takes us about two weeks to finalize a custom logo - but that depends on you as much as it does on us. The speed with which you give feedback on the logo designs submitted to you and the level of detail of that feedback obviously impacts the total design time.

As a general guideline, don't try to rush too much. Quality comes first. 


Can you guarantee a delivery time for the final logo?

We are super committed to meeting client deadlines whenever humanly possible. That said, in logo design the final delivery date depends on you. Each time you send it back to us for revisions, that adds a day or two to the design time. So it's about striking a balance between getting it right and getting it done on time. As far as we are concerned, getting it right is far more important, but that is your call.

If you have a specific deadline for your logo project, please mention that when you place your order. We will take it into account and (within reason) we will change our schedule to fit yours.


I want speed and economy, but what about quality?  I would rather wait longer for a better quality product.

We agree completely. Whenever possible a logo project should continue for as long as it takes to hit the mark. The logo is after all the #1 brand element that your company will carry with it for hopefully a great many years. We can provide a quality logo fast as:

  • Our custom logo designers are in-house. All of them. When a job comes in, it can be given to a designer immediately. We don't need to scurry around trying to get freelancers to do the work for us. If you are shopping around for logos, watch out for this one. If a design firm makes use of freelance designers there are some serious issues you should be aware of.
  • Our designers are experienced. We make a point of hiring designers who know their way around graphics and their design software. If you've watched an experienced designer at work you'll know what I'm getting at. An experienced designer can get an idea executed in a flash. Inexperienced designers first have to figure out how to draw what they envision.

You can be assured that while we are fast, quality receives priority. Without exception.


How will I be communicating with the Logotypon.com design team? We prefer email communication. That way we can keep track of the process and refer back to things as the design develops. But you are also welcome to phone in to speak directly to our art director.


Can more than one person provide feedback on the designs you send?

If you want to use a panel to provide feedback, we ask that you nominate a spokesperson to communicate with us. If we have several people in your organization emailing conflicting instructions to our poor designers, nobody wins.

If you're a one-man band: 

You are the person who's going to make the call at the end of the day, but get as many opinions as you can. Your wife/husband, parents, kids, friends, associates, neighbors... any one of these could come up with an idea or consideration that you overlooked. You want this logo to be your business signature for years to come, so take the time. Show it around and get it right the first time. Large organizations: The panel should consist of the owner/manager, the marketing director and someone with an artistic touch. Involve more people and you may find you spend too much time on personal taste issues and not enough time on getting a brand that works for your business. Nominate one person on the panel to relay feedback to Logotypon.com.


How will the logo be delivered to me? Can I get it via email and shipped to me on a CD?

Our default delivery method is email. Email delivery is fast and free.

If you also need your logo on a CD, please ask your designer about this option during the design process. Depending on specials running at the time we might ship a CD free of charge or ask you to cover the shipping cost of the CD. Apart from the shipping cost, there is normally no extra charge for the CD.

 

How will you know how big to make my logo?

We downsize the logo design concept drawings to make them more practical for email transmission. Once you're 100% happy with the design, we create the final image files from it. That final logo is delivered to you in a couple of different formats (including vector CDR, EPS etc. that you'll need for printing) and sizes. Like most business logo design firms we'll keep your logo on file (in case you ever loose yours).


Will I need special software to open my logo?

Nope. We will send the logo in jpg and gif formats which you will be able to open in your Internet browser and in just about any image editing software you have installed - or in your word processing program (like MS Word).

We'll also send you the vector images which you will not be able to open unless you have software like CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator installed. Don't worry about that though. Those vector images are for professional printing, so simply save them on your computer so you have them handy when your printers ask for them. If you need help opening/using your logo images, we'll talk you through it. 


Can I modify a logo design myself?

Yes, indeed! As long as you have graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or Corel Draw, and some experience with such software, you can do what you want to your logo.


What file formats are the logo designs available in? Logotypon.com promises that you can use your logo for ANYTHING. If you need it in a format we do not supply as standard, please ask. We will send you the additional formats at no extra charge. Our logos come in a range of formats, making it easier for you to use them. It’ll come in the following formats: .eps, .cdr, .jpeg. What software do I need to work with the supplied file formats?

While there are many different software packages that will let you work on our files, we like to think we know what works best in terms of giving you maximum flexibility to modify our logo templates, stationery templates or web templates. We recommend:

  • .ai format – Adobe Illustrator
  • .eps format – Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Macromedia Freehand
  • .psd format – Adobe Photoshop
  • .pdf format – Adobe Acrobat
  • .jpeg format – any operating system graphics software
  • .tiff format – any operating system graphics software

 

How do I know that you will deliver all that you promise?

Our stats say that there is about a 99% chance that we will deliver a logo that will be as good as or better than you expected. What are your office hours?

Normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (GMT +2). Although we might not answer the phone we have staff on duty to process order during weekends and non-office hours.


What's your refund policy for logos?

Logotypon.com offers an unconditional money-back guarantee during the design process up to the point that you confirm the final logo. After that point we don't give refunds. We produce and sell digital files, there's no way to physically 'return' logo templates or designs for refund or exchange. However, we'll always replace a damaged file with replacement logo file when required.
